Latest News on SlashMySearch

"We have struck a deal with Snap so we can deliver results to you in the mean time. Also, we now have website previews for any links on this forum. Eg: [www.yahoo.com] Please post feedback and let us know what you think. We strive to deliver services that all of our members enjoy." News from SlashMySearch's administrator.

On a temporary basis, members will be able to earn money as usual by using the Snap search engine. The move taken by the administrators seem to be a step forward towards

Get Paid to Search

SlashMySearch

Some of you may have already heard of SlashMySearch. However, most are doubtful if it is a scam. Here are my reviews of SlashMySearch and some useful information I gathered from the site's main forum and FAQ section. Firstly, the site was established in August 2006. From August 2006 till the end of 21st January 2007, the site was conducting its alpha testings. (They are having Beta testing now, so downtime does occur) However, they are currently working to exit the Beta phases.

Not many are aware of its existence at the alpha stages but some of its members have already had their first payouts. I have included a link of the paypal payment <<click here>> (picture from darylwtlau.googlepages.com). You can also search for the snapshot of the proof of payment at myLot.(Search under photos for
SlashMySearch) The minimum payout of the site is $20 which is relatively high compared to most paid websites' $10. Nevertheless, the administrators have already reduced the minimum payout of $50 to $20 recently. Usually, payments will only be made two months after the minimum payout has been exceeded. (This goes for paypal users only, e-gold and check users may be delayed for two extra weeks)

SlashMySearch does not pay its users by clicking on ads. On the other hand, the site pays by tracking its users' activity. Every page and search counts as an activity except for the main menu section where users find information on their earnings and commissions. A new server, smswww1.com, which is now assigned to handle searches has been added recently (28th of February) to accommodate the ever-expanding community. I joined the site on the 21st of February as the five thousandth member and I have recently recruited a referral with an ID above the eleventh thousand. Note the power of multiplication and popularity of the site. It's population has increased 100% in mere 7 days.

What are the registration fees? Zero, you don't need to pay anything to sign up because it's free. How are its users paid? $0.25 per hour, $0.15 per 10 second-level referral and $0.05 per 10 third-level referral. Who's behind
SlashMySearch? The founders are from different internet businesses and the main office is in Orange County, California, USA. Why do they pay its users? They are in need of more users, so they rather pay its loyal users than to gamble it on advertisements.
